Quartey woulda jabbed the living **** outta Angulo. El Perro isnt as dangerous as Jose Luis Lopez was.
@ Hatesrats I'm a fan of Angulo's but I really don't see how Angulo wins this match up, he loses to at least 5 or maybe 6 fighters on Vargas resume, and I'm not one of those corny nostalgic boxing fans either but I can't see where I'm wrong here.
You are prob right, What I'm saying is Vargas resume alone can't always fight for him. Who cares either way, I Just don't see Fernando running an entire fight.
Exactly! :happy Thank you, somebody has a real legit post in these fantasy matchups. I love it how these "experts" know exactly how these fights will go. It cracks me up, yet, It's pathetic.
Vargas (whom I can't stand and think is generally overrated) would destroy Angulo. El Perro is one of the biggest hype jobs that HBO has tried to put over on boxing fans since, oh I don't know, maybe Arreola! Angulo loses to any legit top ten fighter currently at 154, much less the top ten at 154 back in the day when you had Vargas, Cheato, DLH, Quartey, Mosley, Wright, etc. For gods sake he got schooled by Cintron! That pretty much says it all about El Perro. On a side note, does anyone else think Angulo looks like Freddy Mercury with that gay ass mustache?
hatesrats you only go with angulo cuz he reminds you of margarito they both have the same style of fighting except Margarito does it much better and is probably tougher and fights more determined and a little more quickly...pretty much does everything better than angulo
Are you serious? Prime Vargas ruins any version of Angulo. Put it this way. Do you think Angulo would win 6 or 7 rounds against Winky Wright, go toe-to-toe with a prime Trinidad for 12 rounds (while scoring a few KDs and eating a few KDs)? Doubtful.
Vargas outboxes Angulo any day of the week. Angulo can't even beat Cintron. The guy is overrated. Vargas was a damn good fighter at his best. A legitimate world champion at 154.
