Alfredo Angulo vs James Kirkland - Official Poll

By decision or KO?

 

Kirkland, simply out of spite, they are both flawed and either on any given day could win. It's awesome to see so many harping on Kirkland's loss, seemingly neglecting the other 25 or so fights of his career. That said, Angulo got his ass beat by Cintron, who I watched get a gift decision on FNF's, so I'll take Kirkland based on speed, strength, and aggression.

 

Does anyone know the odds on this fight?

 

Hopefully Ann wolfe has been riding kirkland really hard and James is back to his pre-prison form. I went with Angulo because styles make fights and I think Kirkland will brawl like always and angulo has the better chin! I will be suprised if Angulo doesnt win by KO.

Angulo has a granite chin. I think Angulo is very beatable but you have to box to beat perro! If you think your going to go in the ring and out brawl perro you have another thing coming... If Kirkland tries to go balls to the wall against perro, he will be on the canvas drooling and hopefully he knows what city he's in when he wakes up!

 

Yea, I'm actually gonna go Kirkland by stoppage between rounds 6-10.

I think Anne Wolfe whips his ass back into shape.

 

The Ishida situation was conditioning and his legs failing him, correct me if I'm wrong, but he wasn't hurt...and the referee stopped the fight, a decision Kirkland was pissed about? I only watched it once and have watched alot of boxing since. I like Angulo fine, but he's a bit flat footed and not overly quick, I think Kirkland has at least a 50% chance to win.

 

LOL...lucky for us that's exactly what he's going to do, because that's the only thing he knows to do. Going to be fun while it lasts...

 

I think James didnt train hard and he overlooked Ishida. I expect James Kirkland to be in tip top shape for this one and I think he will put up a good fight! I really wanted to see this fight 2-3 years ago when they were both undefeated.

 

What if James watched the cintron-angulo fight and he tries to box? I wouldnt blame him.. It's the smart move!

 

I agree, in theory it would be, I'm a believer in "dance with who brought you", Kirkland can't box worth a ****, that's just not his style, I don't think it would be intelligent for him to build a gameplan around something he's not very good at. That said, we'll see, maybe they do decide to box but I think eventually he'll resort back to his default mode of seek and destroy.

Thats what makes this fight so exciting.. Both of these guys are freight trains, they dont take a step back! Styles make fights and I predict pain for this fight! Who wins? The fans win! The winner will have marks on his face.. :deal
