    From Steve Kim's Twitter...

    --------

Alfredo Angulo's next outing could be vs. Joel Julio( I like this potential slugfest). It will come in April sometime, on HBO, I'm told

Good clash of styles here. Should be fun while it lasts (given it comes off), but I think Julio ultimately gets counted out here.

I like this match up!!!!!! Joel Julio had a war with Kirkland while it happened and angulo is a come forward fighter as well!!!!!

Julio is the better boxer and has a strong chin, but Angulo has the momentum and name.

Dangerous fight for angulo. Julio can crack, but so can angulo. Exciting!

Julio fights very poorly backing up....
he showed this against Kirkland. He was content with backing up the majority of the fight.

Really no reason this fight should be any different.

I think if this fight happens, Angulo will get derailed again. Joel is a very good fighter in addition to hitting like a truck. Kirkland was a special animal when he fought Julio. Angulo is a tough SOB but I don't think he has the ability to do what Kirkland did. I think Kirland would've ruined Angulo too, by the way.

My thoughts as well, they are both come forward fighters but are better against opposite opposition. Kirkland thrives on breaking fighters who backup and Angulo thrives on breaking fighters who comes forward. Julio will backup all fight and give Angulo the Cintron treatment. Angulo will get his shots in once in awhile but it wont do much. Yorgi was outboxing Angulo for the first 2 minutes of rd.1 but when he got clocked he was in survival mode, that wont happen with Julio.

Julio is a decent fighter when he chooses to be, like when he chose to outboox Kirkland he was doing a good job. He got lazy and fell of once a little bit of fame came around. He put up a good fight while it lasted against James Kirkland. Angulo stops him though. Julio is a tough opponent for anyone.

I agree however Julio moves well and should be a bit more challenging than other opponents.
