Angulo jabs up top. Double jab now. Gomez is dancing around cautiously at wide range. Lots of direction changes from Gomez, keeping his gait rapid and with expansive space between his legs. Angulo keeps chasing and jabbing. Gomez makes his first error, getting caught on the ropes. ONE CLUBBING OVERHAND RIGHT AND IT IS OVER!! GOMEZ IS ON HIS KNEES AND NOT INTERESTED IN GETTING UP!!!

ANGULO IS PISSED!! HE IS STANDING WITH HANDS ON HIS HIPS FUMING!!

 

Angulo looks disappointed beyond words. He was expecting some challenge.


Oh well. Back to the Montiel vs. Perez card before the main event. That timing worked out PERFECTLY!

 

Cesar "Saba" Vazquez vs. Sergio "Micky" Lopez.

8 rounds @ 130lbs.

 

Round 1

Good action. Vazquez is throwing a hard 1-2, a bit loose in the arms but landing well. Lopez is taking his licks in stride and getting some quality hooks in to the body, putting leverage on them despite leaning straight back. Some really good exchanges going on. The taller Vazquez landing better.

Round 2

Vazquez thumps away with left and right hooks as he bears in on Lopez. In answer, Lopez tags him with blistering straight shots to the jaw. Neither man has so much as blinked as the other rips him with monstrous blows. Lopez now starts to wilt, with Vazquez pounding him against the ropes. VERY heavy hands from Vazquez. Lopez still has his wits, darting outside and looking to line up straight shots but falling in with them and finding himself in range for the baseball bats of Vazquez. Hard right snaps Lopez's head back for like the sixth time in the round. He whiplashes right back and his instinct is to throw three hard shots right back.

Great little war brewing here.
