Should be a good fight while it lasts, but Angulo will beat the **** outta Mayorga and stop him within 6.
I think that Angulo would have to elevate his defense a little bit for the first 4 rounds and not get hit with the wild punches that Mayorga throws. After the 4th Round Mayorga will be beat down period.
Don't be shocked if: A) This one goes the distance B) Mayorga wins this. Angulo is awesome, of that there's no doubt. But Mayorga is still a live threat...he looked better against Mosley than he had since Trinidad. I suspect he's not as shot as people think, and i'm not sure Angulo is quite at that class where he will KO Mayorga.
Agreed, its not a walkover by any means. Mayorga has aged very well for someone with his style of fighting, and is still very dangerous, especially against someone with as little experience at the top level as Angulo.
How many times do i need to see Mayorga beat up... jezas. Just retire already, should have retired when i said he should after the Spinks fight, his heart isnt in boxing anymore and was evident by the spinks pre fight interviews and post fight interviews, too bad hes not smarter with his money. But if hes going to continue fighting.... might as well fight angulo. Angulo by eather UD or late round stoppage.... This Mosley loss will have really hurt Mayorga... its the first loss hes taken when 100% ready physically and mentally.... besides the spinks fight (which im sure mayorga doesnt count as a true loss) the Tito and Hoya fights, mayorga KNOWS he wasnt at his best.... but this fight he was (as much as his worn body and chin could allow him) and he got stopped.... Ill say it again like ive said before, Mayorga is done... but ill be rooting for him regardless. The only chance he has is the usual one at this stage in his career, and thats outworking angulo, the speed and snap that made him a KO puncher earlier in life is gone.... hes just got heavy hands now, and thats not going to be enough against Angulo. but.... i hope he can outwork Angulo for at least 7 rounds then stay on his feet the other 5 lol.
Agreed.. Mayorga impressed me somewhat against Mosley and I don't think he's completely done yet though he's far from his best.. It would make for an exciting fight where I could see either of the two winning.. Also, who's the girl in your avatar Eps? She looks familiar..
great fight for fans!!! If angulo is as good as I think he is he should beat Mayorga. But KO him? I dont think that heis in the Tito, ODLH, Mosely class. fun either way
