If Margorito gets the call up against Pacquiao, this fight will be made for the vacant WBC title. How do you fancy Rhodes chances?

I think Rhodes would have a chance definitely.... he wouldn't fight as dumb as Alcine did.

Ideally you'd put him in with a Cintron before the title fight rather than either of the Euro title fights against Messi and Kocekny (or the fairly long layoff).....

Rhodes has a chance against anyone at 154lbs. His style, size and experience see to that. He also has a very decent punch, concussive.

Rhodes needed regular fights and decent opposition before a shot came along. I feel now after the lay offs he will have missed his chance and will get beaten if he gets to step up again.

I'd love to see Rhodes get a shot at him. Couldn't see him beating Angulo to be honest but you can never say never. He deserves his crack at the title, and I hope he gets it.

Yeah, if Rhodes isn't good enough then fair enough but I'd like to see him get his chance before he retires.

there's definitely similarities between Angulo and Margarito's style but I'd much rather Rhodes faced Margarito. Angulo is younger and punches harder at 154 than Margarito so you'd have to make him a favourite vs. Rhodes. But Rhodes could outbox Angulo, Cintron's already shown how to do it and Ryan's switch hitting may cause problems. Plus, having outbattled Jamie Moore in a fight that stylistically was all wrong for him, I for one won't ever doubt his heart or stamina. Really hope he wins if he gets his shot, he deserves it

Very tough fight for Rhodes, but very winnable so long as he sticks to his slick boxing skills, and uses his experience.

What the hell, if Kermit 'The Frog' Cintron can do it, so can Rhodes. COME ON RHODES!

Rhodes would be a long shot. What you have to remember is he was struggling badly with Jamie Moore for very long periods of the fight until Moore shot his load and Rhodes took advantage.

Angulo isn't going to run out of energy, he's near impossible to stop in his tracks, he's a better fighter than Jamie Moore.

Angulo would win in a very exciting battle. He punches hard and is willing to take shots and is tough. I don't think that's the fight Ryan wants or needs but if it has to happen he have to make do. Has a chance..but a big test.

Honestly, I think Angulo stops Rhodes within 6 rounds.

Would much rather it be Rhodes vs Margo.

At his age he doesn't have much left at the top level but I would love to see Rhodes end his career with a world title, he's been a great pro at European level and I really hope he can bow out with a big one.

Rhodes is a tricky operator but nothing about him says special. I think he could beat the odd guy on the world stage but in fairness Angulo is already mixing in that class with success. 16 ko's out of 19 wins and a tenacious fighter is what fears me for Rhodes.

I would back Rhodes but I would tend to think the Moore win flattered him slightly.

Boxrec says Rhodes is fighting on 18th September against Lukas Konecny for the Euro belt.
