Had to bump this to give props where they are due and admit my mistake for favoring the wrong guy. It was a savage fight that had me on the very edge of my seat all the way until the end. But the better man won tonight. Both guys looked to do serious damage, but it was James Kirkland who actually did damage (and way, way more of it). When Kirkland got up off of the canvas in the first round, THAT was when his comeback after prison truly began. His career started over right then and there as soon as he stood up. Life don't give us too many second chances, so I hope James makes the best of his. Major props to him for having the massive heart to come back, both inside the ring and out of it. The man can deal with some serious adversity. Angulo is a warrior and gave it his all in there, but he was beaten by the better man. Kirkland took the will to fight right out of him. Boxing fans received a gift tonight from two guys willing to lay it all on the line.
