Escalera, who I remember very fondly from the 70's and his pet boa constrictor...ah, nostalgia aside, he'd overwhelm a less than gutsy PoPo Frietas within 8 rounds for a stoppage.
Yeah can't see anything other than Escalera by mid rounds kayo. I think the Everett fight (loss) and the two Arguello defeats stand out too vividly in people's minds because at his best Alfredo was a suffocating pressure who actually fairly clever with better than average pop in his mitts. This is a fight pitting one of the most absurdly durable and gutsy fighters in the history of the lower weight against one of the last decade's rankest quitters.
