Algeri vs Maidana - easy work

if a shot Morales outboxed Maidana, Algieri would box his ears off 12-0 or 10-0 ala Devon :deal

 

I agree algieri would be a nightmare for maidana as they say styles makes fights and algieri's got the perfect style to beat maidana.add the reach height and speed advantages for algieri if they made this fight I would bet money on algieri.also algieri is a tough ******* who wont fold if maidana does land a huge shot.

Algeri outboxes him easily.... Maidana struggles with boxers.

 

Algieiri stylistically could be a huge problem for Chino .

This aint Broner in front of him .

On the other hand , Chinos more awkward and more less predictable than Ruslan (Who many felt Algeiri still lost to ) .

That can work in his favor .

I see this fight as a toss up . It can go either way .

Other than Alexander , Chino has given every other pure boxer hes faced a hard time (Khan, Floyd , Broner )

He held his own and He banged up all 3 of em pretty good

From what I've seen if you aren't willing to clinch/hold Maidana when he gets in close your going to have a hard time keeping him off you. Maidana could very well brutalize Algeri, by Chris' s own admission Maidana is a more ferocious puncher than Ruslan so I doubt it would be easy.

Out of the current top 10 rated WW's the fighters I'd probably pick to beat him are Brook and Alexander in a rematch because they have no problem holding to negative an aggressive fighters momentum. The rest I think would be 50/50 fights for various reasons.

 

I agree, Algieri could actually outbox the **** out of him. Maidana's only got his overhand right along with slow looping punches. Chris' height and reach would make a significant difference.

Box and move and Algieri's got him otherwise it's lights out if he just stands there or decides to trade. Typical boxer vs puncher scenario.

 

No. Algeri said hit Maidana hit harder, iirc. Also, Maidana is faster on his feet than Ruslan, is bigger, actually has a jab (unlike Ruslan) and can deliver his power from awkward angles.
