I want to make it clear I am not making Algieri out to be the second coming of anything else but Paulie Malinaggi but I think he gives Garcia fits.

Styles make fights and Garcia loads up too much and Algieri has a good chin, I think after seeing the Herrera fight, who I think Chris Algieri is better than, that Algieri would win.

Garcia knocks this sucker out with 1 left hook. Algieri is a glass jawed fraud.

I have never really rated Garcia, he is a good fighter but very basic. Sort of a better version of Broner. I think anyone with a good chin, hand and foot speed and the reach, work rate and stamina of Algieri should get a decision in this one.

Algieri wouldn't get close enough to get hit by the left hook. If morales and khan stuck to boxing Garcia from the outside, they would have won a comfortable decision. Instead both throw an uppercut on the inside to get set up for a left hook. Someone like maidana would do much better, maidana would jump in and maul him. Garcia is like provodnikov, too slow and methodical except prov is better at cutting the ring off.

Algieri via UD, Garcia is a basic fighter who is flat footed and got outboxed by Herrera.

All Garcia has is his left hook and decent power.

Algieri would have a good shot at outboxing Danny, but Danny looked bad against Herrera because Herrera has a great chin and walked through most of his big shots and outworked him, I'm afraid Chris might get caught with something big and get stopped, its a toss up.

Algieri is no Herrera. Algieri's footwork and balance are inferior. Garcia would be moving forward the whole fight and because of that, he'd find a place for his left hook now and then.

Algieri has no inside game, which is the sole difference in how Herrera was able to trouble and ultimately deserve to beat Garcia whereas other fighters haven't been able to (Matthysse, Khan, Judah... all fought at a distance with space between them).

I'd say Algieri has a better chance against Garcia then he does any of the WW top 10 or fellow 140 superior Matthysse, but that is all I will say in his favor.

It also depends if we are getting a caged Algieri or not. He could throw away the first 10 rounds and try to put Garcia asleep at the end as was the strategy for his last fight. And we all know that has a zero percent chance of happening.

Garcia beats the **** out of him.

Lets not overrate Algieri whose whole claim to fame is getting a disputed decision over another overhyped overrated one dimensional slugger in Provodkinov.

Garcia is a few leagues above both of these bums.

It's hard to pick this one. Based on the Herrera fight, Algieri has this, but I feel like Garcia is the type of fighter than can improve.

However, his recent opponent was terrible, so I have to go with Algieri on this one.

Garcia is slower, has less reach, and less work rate. I honestly feel that unless he scores a KO he loses on points and Algieri's chin isn't that bad.
