Champion level fighters in Khan and Provodnikov both arguably lost to this guy. Algieri certainly proved that the Ruslan win wasn't a fluke one hit wonder. I'm not saying Algieri is an amazing fighter, but that a 35 year old Pacquiao beat a fighter of his caliber by 18 points shows how removed the true elites are from the rest of the competition.
Watching Khan/Algieri, then Pacquiao/Algieri, and finally interviews of Khan saying he'd beat Pacquiao will be very, very fun to do tomorrow.
:yep Hell, just the 5 second clip of Khan forcing himself to still call out Mayweather to save face (while visibly cringing @ himself) ought to be replayed on SportsCenter over and over, as part of the "low-lights" reel.
Maybe packaged together with a few of Khan's facial (and bodily convulsive) reactions to Algieri's punches.
But didn't you and I just have an argument on Pac's legacy? You're flip flopping all over the place man!!! Slow down on the drinks at the club! Your brain is getting foggy!
I'm going to edit together a video of every solid, knee-buckling shot Algieri landed on Khan with Khan saying that on repeat in the background.
