Algieri's height and reach are gonna be a problem for any 140lber

We New Yorkers know Algieri as a fitness freak and an excellent athlete with a natural ability,who couldn't break an egg with his punches but can out hustle you.He is defined as a spoiler in terms of style and is very tough to look good against because of his speed and agility.
I like Chris a lot,but would not pick him against the elite of the division by any means.Provo was absolutely made for Chris's style and I was not overly surprised that he beat Ruslan.
Having said that,I would still buy a ticket to catch our local boy(Long Island not withstanding) and cheer him on!

 

The height and reach are good attributes to have if you use them correctly. I wouldn't mind seeing him against someone like Matthysse. It would be interesting to see how Lucas deals with the height/range and how Chris deals with Lucas' power. There are rumors that Pacquiao might fight Algieri, that's another tall vs short match-up. Could manny seal with the height, reach and movement? Could Chris deal with the speed and power?

 

Algiers needs to learn how to tier up and fight out off clinches.
