Algieri may not be a noted puncher but then again much lesser punchers have had Khan doing the Sharm El Shake. Could Khan's team of world class cherry pickers have underestimated Algieri like they did with Garcia etc? :think
khan is just too gifted a fighter for someone like algeiri to beat, algeiri is a good fighter just not on khans level
He doesn't have much power, but he is awkward. An Algeri KO wouldn't surprise. Any fighter who opposes Khan is a KO chance.
Algieri appears to have no power whatsoever, I mean Cory Spinks, Zuri Lawrence level power. He has no chance
I have no reason to believe that Algieri could beat Collazo or Alexander, tbh. Seems like a massive mismatch. Khan does have that go-to-sleep button, but Algieri shouldn't be able to land much of anything clean. Still...war Algieri.
This could not have possibly been a worse style match up for Algieri. I'd be shocked if he managed to drop or stop Khan.
He's not going to hurt Khan at all because he throws punches while moving backwards. Thus theres no way he can deliver a punch with any leverage. Chris would have to stand his ground to try n drive Khan backwards to be able to hurt him but doing such a thing would be extremely out of character for Chris. Doubt he knows how to do it.
Limond knocked him down and almost knocked him out, and would've if Khan wasn't wrongly given the benefit of a restarted count. Drilzane with a grand total of 1 KO to his name dropped Khan. Gomez also hurt Khan, and is more of less on par with Algieri as a puncher.
I really do not like these two guys. I find myself hoping the ref will forcefully separate them... knocking both out.
