Very different fights. Ali was in his float like a butterfly best those yrs. Frazier would still be tough because of his aggression but still Ali would've won convincingly.
Ali may have been tougher when he came back after retirement. Crippled Cleve Williams, Old Zora Folley, Bad back Patterson really weren't top of the line challengers. Frazier may have knocked Ali down multiple times since Ali would have been on the move, and Norton would have always been able to neutralize Ali's jab. And the judges back then in the Viet Nam era, may have not have been as kind to Ali on the scorecards.
Ali wins both fights, a quicker version who gets hit far less. Ali fought Norton and Frazier at 212 pounds in the rematches and we know what happen, also Ali fought at 212 pounds or more a few times in 65/67. I have no doubt in my mind a prime Ali version in 65/67 who is 212 pounds or more is the best version and would certainly make easier work of both of those legends, also it helps that Ali had better stamina back in 65/67
A younger Ali dropped his hands a lot more than the one that Frazier fought in 71. You could he could get away with it back them because he was younger and faster then but anytime someone drops their hands against Frazier, it's a big risk and givers Frazier more chance of connecting. Norton will always give Ali trouble no matter when they fought. Another close fight as all their real fights were.
Who was Ali fighting in 65-67? Wait Ali was fighting nobody worse mentioning. If anything prime Norton and prime Frazier would beat Ali during that time even worse. You remember Henry Cooper almost knocking out Ali with one punch? You remember 180 club fighter Doug Jones buckling Ali knees, beat him and getting robbed?

(Let's not forget the Ali from summer 67-summer 70 who we never saw) Who did prime Joe or prime Ken beat that Ali couldn't have beaten in 1967. Ali was young, cocky, and green against Cooper.
