Ali 67 vs Toney 03

    Hi, everybody I was recently watching Toney vs Barkley and saw the trash talking from both fighters. I also saw some old Ali films and saw his funny trash talking. I was wondering if Ali and Toney were going to fight what would the press conference be like. Would there be lots of insults? any shoving? Also how would the match go? I think Ali would make fun of Toney's weight, plus his height.

    The actual fight I don't think would be very exciting because Toneyy would not be able to handle Ali's height reach or speed. Also Toney doesn't even have a punchers chance because of Ali's fantastic chin. Would Ali just toy with Toney and win a shut out decision? Would Ali actually not fear Toney's power at all and decide to stand in the pocket to exchange with him to entertain the crowd? Could some other senario happen?

    I look forward to any responses, thanks for your opinions

    To say that this fight would be one-sided would be an understatement ! The 1967 Ali would take Toney out any time that he started to get bored. Muhammad would also win the trash talking battle. He was entertaining when he did all that, Toney's trash talking was just that. Trash.

    Toney would swear at Ali during the press conference while Ali was joking, Ali would laugh it off but would be annoyed at the lack of respect shown.... in the ring, Ali would give him the Terrell treatment, Toney would be humiliated then stopped in 5 rds.

    A speed guy like Ali would tear into Toney.

    Imagine a much bigger and stronger RJJ against Toney.

    Everyone knows just how much I LOVE James Toney.

    But that version of Ali would abuse and humiliate him, and carry him the distance (Toney has a great chin anyway and fantastic defence so it's not completely unbelievable he'd last the distance in a 12 rounder) but......well, Toney would not win a round IMO.

    Toney would be made a fool of................. '67 Ali wasn't as good as a puncher as a '72 Ali was, so I see the iron-jaw Toney going 15 rds, but losing 10 of them rds by wide margin..... Ali W15 Toney........ Toney would be on the defense for the most part.... I think Toney's skills would allow him to survive.......... Ali wins........

    ali had a great chin , but also did toney , and holyfield.
    could go either way. just not ali stopping toney.
    also a real small chance for toney stopping ali , i say he wouldn't have , but ali stopping toney is even less possible.
    i assume ali wins something like 2(0):1(0) in close fights.

    I know that we're all entitled to different opinions,but have you figured this one through ? We're talking about an old,faded James Toney roughly 50 lbs.above his peak fighting weight,competing with a 25 year old Muhammad Ali.
