http://www.boxingnewsonline.net/view-Article.asp?ArticleID=HEAVYWEIGHT contender Ali Adams is the latest boxer to test positive for a banned substance.

The London man, who was born in Iraq, tested positive in the aftermath of his May fight with former Olympic champion Audley Harrison, which he lost in four rounds, and believes the substance might have been in medication he was using for a neck injury.

In an e-mail, he said he was hoping to "resolve this matter as soon as possible."

"I can confirm that I tested positive for a prohibited substance and that I have been provisionally suspended from boxing until UK Anti-Doping have completed their investigations," said Adams, who has 13 wins (five stoppages) against four losses and a draw. "It is not clear yet how this substance entered my body, although I believe it may have come from treatment I received for a neck injury. I would like to make it clear that I did not and would never intentionally take any banned substances. I am totally against the use of drugs in sport and I would never try to enhance my performance by taking them. I hope to resolve this matter as soon as possible."

I'm sure these guys have some sort of medical excuse ready before they even fail a test.

Hopefully he'll retire, I don't know why he gets so much attention from the media.
He doesn't have even one decent win in a nearly 20 fight career.

If boxers don't agree and are not subjected to drug testing in competition and out of competition.

They are all druggies to me.

This has gone on far to long, other sports have put up a fight against PEDs in sports. While boxing has took a back seat, and let drugs be almost criminally ignored and pushed aside.

Floyd Mayweather the biggest athlete in boxing, could of kept quiet. But he is the reason why this change is happening, his influence and his beliefs.

Manny Pac is a ****ing PED abuser, he's a drugs cheat.

It's gotta to be rampant, too many cases keep cropping up everywhere. Surely the times come for more stringent and regular testing?
