Gontaruk is going all out now, throwing baseball pitch right hands and coming up just short of Sharipova's throat, or lighly grazing. Sharipova is standing upright and carrying her arms low confidently, putting a combination in Gontaruk's face every time she takes a step forward. Sharipova landing 1-2-3's and lashing rights at will from medium-long range. Gontaruk raises her left arm, pushing out a halfhearted jab and then shielding herself with it. Sharipova just punches right past it, landing some more. Gontaruk looks tired.

Round 5

Sharipova is getting a little messier in her work now, missing entire three-pieces as she alights on her toes, punching while moving, not her forte. Gontaruk is able to catch her with a few partially blocked climbing right hands. Sharipova is still much busier in comparison and shades the round with her vastly superior hand speed, but no longer as dominant as in the previous four.

Sharipova is tapping Gontaruk on the blonde strip with her right hand, but is warned by the ref for using her left glove to push down on Gontaruk's arms to clear the lane. Sharipova lands a BEAUTIFUL right cross on the face, snapping Gontaruk's head back at mid-range. Gontaruk is selling out, winging big hooks with both hands and getting countered with back-foot head shots. A fair bit of clinching in the final half-minute, both are GASSED.

Sharipova is cutting wide circles around the ring, jabbing into the little field of wheat atop Gontaruk's dome. Gontaruk is charging ineffectively toward Sharipova, waving her fists at the midriff and not quite reaching it. Sharipova just dusting her with jabs outside, playing it safe.

Round 8

Sharipova is very untidy now, missing upward left uppercut/hook hybrids, whiffing them just past Gontaruk's cheek. Gontaruk is caught flush by a few stiff jabs as she blunders in with big telegraphed hooks delivered from her own ribcage (and mot making it halfway to target before she is countered, to stunt their momentum). Sharipova is doing lots of running and flicking jabs as she races around the length of the ropes in this very large ring.

Gontaruk officially needs a KO, if that wasn't readily apparent.

 

Round 9

Sharipova is still conserving energy as best she can, fighting in spurts, mostly just outrunning Gontaruk. Occasionally the jab makes a brief cameo appearance, but largely Sharipova is just leaping in with lead rights or using the left hooker-cut to halt the advance of Gontaruk with a half-step inside. Gontaruk is able to touch Sharipova with a few high mallet lefts, but only ever glancing blows and never followed up on.

Round 10

The ref pauses the action for some reason, scolding Gontaruk. He apparently has a problem with her gum shield? It doesn't appear to be lost. I think he wants her to keep it firmly in place rather than let it dangle from her mouth? She is mouth breathing pretty heavily, quite gassed from chasing Sharipova around. Time in. He does it again, more sternly, maybe threatening a point deduction. Time in, again. Sharipova is jabbing Gontaruk in the face and dropping in the occasional lead right. Gontaruk is just plodding into everything and flopping atop Sharipova for a bear hug, unable to mount a meaningful offensive surge.
