Walkout bout? Unclear what's happening. They aren't signing off, but the arena is emptying out...

    Nah, the event is over.

    Now showing Russian-dubbed Ultimate Fighter.

Us spoiled babies only got four hours of live boxing, wahhh!

Baloyev is a cruiserweight budding KO artist. The fragile Belarusian (a dozen prior defeats by KO) was the first to extend him past the first round...barely.

Don't ask me why the uploader chose to have this oriented sideways..

    Also from the undercard:

Jamshidbek Najmiddinov shut out Hero Tito. 100-91 x3.

In case anybody is confused as to why they're seeing tweets from combat sports writers on their feed saying "10-9 Akhmedov" from within the last hour, they are not referring to Ali.

Someone else with his last name (Omari Akhmedov) happens to be competing on the same date, albeit in the cage, not the ring - on the UFC 219 card tonight...or rather, just competed. The second Akhmedov to lace up gloves today fought to a majority draw.

Heading into this month, Akhmedov was rated #31 by the WBC. Now, by itself the crushing of Eynullayev probably wouldn't elevate him too much, but in conjunction with his 10-round unanimous decision over DeShon Webster just a couple of weeks ago, on December 8th (which happened to be a dual title defense of his WBC Youth & NABF Junior light heavyweight titles)...

He will almost certainly be cracking the mid to high twenties at 175lbs as of the first edition of rankings published in the new year. This will put him in the company of & rubbing shoulders with Umar Salamov, Frank Buglioni, Yunieski Gonzalez, etc.

2018 ought to be a big year for Akhmedov if he keeps up this pace, this overall average of LOC, this year-round dedication in the gym, and this kind of form on fight night.

In the video thumbnail Inna looks cuter than in reality. I'd still hit it anyway.

You know who else would? Claressa Shields. Hit it hard, she would - and into the fifteenth row. Apparently that's a match-up people are thinking about on both sides of the Atlantic. Let me just be the first to say: lol. Sag would be like that goat chained up in a T-Rex paddock in Jurassic Park.

    Look at this handsome devil.

If he was a US native you know some talent agency would've snapped him up and started putting him in as the male lead in rom-coms with pop starlets like Selena Gomez by now.

Plenty of crossover appeal: matinee idol looks, a style that would appeal to both adrenaline junkies and boxing "purists", hard-working attitude with just the right balance of humility and swagger...

The video above starts from the first bell and so doesn't include his ring walk (and I missed it live) but I'm sure he got a massive pop in his triumphant return to Almaty.

IMO he is the most likely Kazakh to fill the international star void after Golovkin.
