One of the most famous boxing insults, and Ali knows Louis is right. Notice that louis called him Clay and Ali didn't do or say a thing.

"Beginning of the 1966 , Prime Ali making fun with Joe Louis , and he is goddamn right. This content is protected , He could beat 25 win record if they were not Vietnam War situtation. There's big difference between 1940's boxing and Late 60's." (Commenting on the youtubeguy who posted the video now) I think Ali would most probably beat Louis, but Ali was not as "correct" as Louis. Ali was technically a very flawed fighter. But Ali is a little bigger, enough handspeed and superior footspeet, good enough footwork to just keep Louis at the end of his jab all night. Unless the ring is a very small ring, then Louis stands more chance.
Back then: fighters of the past were better. Now: fighters of the past were better. Nothing has changed. Ali was right here, same reason I see a more modern even bigger man also beat Louis.
that's not the point. Ali took being called Clay as a personal insult. Look at his first fight with Patterson and his bout with Terrell. There where his famous "What's My Name?" quote comes from.
These crazed nuthuggers on here have no common sense. They said at the beginning that Louis was with Ali as an "advisor" (probably because Louis needed money and Ali was willing to help him out). The whole disagreement is obviously scripted with Ali setting up Louis' lines.
