    I think that while Ali was still fighting,he and Louis had a competitiive thing going about who was the number one heavy of all time. Jack Dempsey was known to have made a few disparaging comments about Louis when Joe was champ,for the same reasons. As time marched on,Muhammad and Joe's mutual affection and respect came to the fore.
