I could pull Ali's career to pieces too if I nitpick fights he had where he didn't look good. Ali was vulnerable to left hookers throughout his career. Can u see any great heavy struggling with cooper like Ali did?? He was matching him with jabs, dropped him with the left hook. Ali didn't look good till the cuts opened up. Folley gave Ali a tough time, Ken Norton was arguably better than him, Jimmy Young most think out pointed him. Ali should have at least another 2 losses on his record. All these fellas were the same height and could jab with ali. Hes having it rough with 6 6"+ men with 2+ stone on him and great jabs
Sure, keep talking to yourself, I'm confident the rest of the boxing fans with lack of brain cells agree with you
Ali in the 70's was durable and had a chin. He ADAPTED to fighting big punchers and jabbers. Usyk is a southpaw physically stronger than Ali and hits a bit harder maybe p4p but at a higher weight wont be as fast. Unless Usyk fights a real Hw ( sorry WSB doesnt count ) it is impossible to answer who does better. Im sure Ali of the 70's would defeat guys easier than Usyk has now, that Ali had also well over 20 fights. I dont see Usyk at 200 pounds better than Ali at 215/plus. If Usyk beats a few top HW's its bc he will carry more power and sustain a weight of 220 and maybe the southpaw angle.Until then i dont see it. Ali is pretty close to Holmes and i KNOW Holmes would jab Usyk to death if he had too,bc Usyk is far to easy to hit with them. Usyk is going to have to show better skill sets mainly defence and against power punchers who actually hit for me to say he does better than Ali bc i dont think he has Ali's chin to sustain many direct shots. And mike Tyson vs Usyk?????lmao
When I see threads like these, I see no problem bringing up matchups between comic book characters and other fantasy You have no argument here so turn to petty insults. You're new to boxing. It's okay.
What argument? There is NOTHING factual or logical about Hypothetical matchups, I know its difficult to grasp for you. Subjectivity isnt a scientific attribute, and you bring up fantasy matchups and talk as if facts can support them, it doesnt work that way. Go back to talking about fictional heroes in the Lounge.
Well its an interesting topic...i do think Usyk could very well defeat Ali of the 60's ...watch the Mildenberger fight. However Usyk hasnt shown me anything that suggest TODAY he defeats good Hw's. Ali was very smart and tough in the 70's ...Usyk lacks some things that would let him defeat some guys Ali did...i added to my post . To suggest this guy defeats the Mike Tysons and Anthony joshua is just plain dumb ,no need to elaborate on that. lol I think a strong moving southpaw could pose Ali trouble if ali was not as strong and around 205/210 which he was in the 60's.
I read just fine and reading doesn't help you grasp boxing. Instead of reading try watching it. But to your credit you can probably never get a good view with your height disadvantages and all. Btw, your overall rating on rebuttals. 3/10
Your entire existence is a 2/10 Also my height is just fine, enough centimeters to shatter that despicable mandible
He still had timing, speed, better athleticism. Higher IQ. Superior jab. Better stamina. Better mind games. Charisma. Can't measure heart but I will assume Ali>. The phantom punch pull counter was no joke even against bigger men since it utilizes the opponents momentum against themselves. He's also less predictable. Usyk is kinda repetitious. A broken record. For arguments sake I understand but if ever brought into reality. Ali would and does stand a better chance. I would even say a prime David Haye would KO the Usyk of today which is being used in this very argument let alone AJ and especially Tyson which needs no explanation at all to anyone who claims to watch boxing. I atleast tried to make a fair case that Tillis could outbox Usyk and most likely has just as much if not more ring IQ but that's leaning towards a classic forum topic.
Hey brah, keep that trollfesting ramblings to the lounge, ya dig? Stop derailing the thread. Its not even mine thread.
