Just landed the cleaner shots- got to really watch it closely I have to go with @George Crowcroft on this one.
Dempsey 1238 or whatever his name is has been on the forum since year 1 and still can't get it right. Lol.
Really @George Crowcroft?! Interesting - it never occurred to me that there would be much divergence on the outcome of this one.
Agree 100%, I have a earlier post where I say that I viewed the fight from a different camera angle, sort of from below ( strange I know ) and from this tape I also have Ali winning ! his shots were really thudding home, hurtful hard and accurate punches, that found their target with unnerving accuracy , time and again Joe had his head knocked back with force, plus it was one of the first fights to have a computer punch stat, on punches landed, and it read Ali landed more than double the punches that Joe did, I mean it took this particular view/angle to change my mind after decades of believing Joe had won. keep well.
In all seriousness however, I think the last time I scored this fight, I actually had Ali up by a round. Though I scored Frazier using the points system, the RBR system was used for this fight. So I chose my winner based on that. Before anyone calls me an Ali fanboy, Frazier is my favorite fighter (switches between him and Liston). MrKoolKevin also had the fight a draw as did the Unofficial UPI scorecard. It's closer than a lot of people would like to believe.
I guess I have an agenda even though Frazier is my favorite fighter, and I don't even really particularly care for Ali.
