Ali beating Foreman was a more incredible performance than Frazier beating Ali

I personally think foreman's destruction of frazier is the greatest of 3 wins.

Tough picking between these two but i'll let the edge go with the underdog.

Frazier was the champ and beat his top challenger.

Ali was the top challenger and beat the champ.

That's the only edge I can go with. Both are clearly fantastic victories.

Haven't read all the posts but Ali-Frazier 1 was STRAIGHT UP, no questions or issues.
But history shows us many truths.
Against Angie's, and others, wishes, Ali fought Joe only roughly 90 days after his tough brawl with Bonavena?
IMO had Ali waited until early summer to match with Joe he would have stuck and moved to a clear UD (but not without some damage to say the least)
Again IMHO, the Foreman bout was fraught with controversy. I won't even go into all of the 'ifs".
And Ali never (wise move) gave George a rematch. Why should he? He owned the sport from Zaire until Spinks and could do anything he wanted.
    His post-Foreman career is overrated.
Norton III? Young? Bums of the month?
But I still put Ali #1 HW all-time because we never saw this chiseled monster from the summer of 67 until the summer of 70.

You have to go with Muhammad Ali over George Foreman.

    My 'two' reasons.

    A) George Foreman for all intents and purposes, was invincible.

    B) Muhammad Ali goes 12-Rounds with Rudi Lubbers, and can't hurt him. (Ahhhhh!!!)

  4. Hard one to choose. Frazier vs Ali was THE BIGGEST FIGHT in history. Foreman was a monster and Ali was a huge underdog in that fight. Not sure.

Ali was nursing his right hand a lot in the Lubbers fight. The most memorable factor about the Jakarta bout was Muhammad giving an interview to Reg Gutteridge between rounds.
