There are other boxers who are better than Ali in 'p4p' sense such as Langford, Greb, Ray Robinson, Duran, Ezzard Charles, Armstrong, etc but Ali's resume in one weight class is magnificent.

Ali also came out on top during his division’s deepest-ever era when he was no longer at his best after that 3 1/2 years layoff. No-one else has done that in their weight class other than Ali.

Greatest of all time. Fought everybody and regularly fought ranked contenders and ducked nobody!

Ali's impressive run through FOTC - Foreman when he took on the best contenders while Frazier was sitting on the sidelines.

Ali vs Mac Foster prematch conference - Ali lashes out why Frazier isn't defending his titles and taking on ranked contenders!

Ali not impressed with Foreman defending his title against 22th ranked Roman
"All this preparation for someone ranked No. 22 in the top ten."

Only Louis matches the quality of wins. But even then Ali’s competition seems much better. Wasn’t just Ali’s wins but the way in which he won them pre banishment is what impressed me. Cleaned out the division without much trouble (hiccup/scare against Cooper but thats it). He’s top ten HW with just his pre banishment wins add the second career and he’s top dog imo. Won’t be broken either with the way these guys fight now either.

Ali's resume is truly tremendous. I wonder if he can be top dog in terms of beating top 5 ranked opponents? By my count it should be around 25.

The scare against Henry Cooper took place on June 18 1963, before Ali toppled Sonny Liston in his next fight on Feb 25 1964. Ali slaughtered poor Henry Cooper, on May 21 1966, in London. Ali successfully defended his title by TKO 6. Cooper required 14 sutures to close his lacerated eyebrow.

Since Greb when you think about who they have not missed.

    Impeccable resumes.

His pre 2nd title run from 1970 - Rumble in the jungle is better than most champions reign regardless of weight class given how many ranked opponents he faced in that short period of time. Also fought in numerous locations.
