Foreman was done. Even if he'd have beaten the count, Ali had so much left in the tank and was such a spiteful finisher, Foreman has no chance.

I sorta thought he did (the count seems to speed up), but the count could have been to 100, the fight was over

At best he makes it to round 9 and gets stopped on his feet or goes down again. There would be no come from behind KO, he was COMPLETELY gassed and throwing one lethargic punch at a time with no snap at all. No way he could manage to make it to the 15th round.

In all honesty with how drained he was, he most likely suffers an injury. I could easily see tearing some ligaments as he falls in the ninth.

Ali was a shark, he would take you into deep waters and drown you.

He might make round 10 and fall again.

Famous quote from Ali when he sensed George was gassing, in a clinch he told him ..........." Man , this is the wrong place to get tired "

Big George was done, Ali, the heat and his pounding away and not seeing anything for it, had vaporized his strength and will.
If by some miracle he'd made it to the end of the round, he would have been kod within a minute in the next.

Foreman was asked what would have happened if the fight continued he said,," he'd have knocked me down again".

I actually think Foreman would have came back to put on a boxing clinic. He was just getting warmed up the first 8 rounds.

Watch how animated Ali was directly after the victory. He was elated, yes, but he certainly didn't look tired at all. Foreman was exhausted.

Foreman would have gotten batted all over the ring until the ref stopped it. A bit like Lyle. He was done, the fight was over and had been for roughly two rounds before then.

Besides the FOTC and Duran-Leonard I, the Rumble was imo the greatest boxing spectacle (and perhaps performance) in history.

Foreman fought and looked like crap most of that fight anyway. He was gassed before the 5th imo.

best thing that happened to him was that count being short. Ali would of punished him so badly big Georgie May of retired before the Young bout.
