Anybody know any stories i would imagine they would be more like a real fight than an exhibition i see Frazier trying to knock Ali down probably
I was unaware they had exhibitions. I do know that Frazier sparred like it was an actual fight. I can't imagine he was any different in his exhibitions.
Exhibitions???? I may be wrong but ida thought no way would them guys get in the ring to fight without moolah being laid out, and plenty of it
So did i, i also thought these 2 guys would be the last 2 to get in a ring to fight an exhibition with eachother as well.
Could you elaborate more on this? Did you see it in an article or something? Ive read quite a lot over the years on these 2 and ive never come across it. There are plenty more learned men than me on here and ida imagine i woulda read it on here at some stage especially on 1 of il duce/senor pepe anti-ali threads
Yeah I remember this around 1871 this happened. Very good exhibition from both men. Frazier seemed to complement Ali's overall quickness and footwork around the ring. I think Harry Greb was the referee of the exhibition.
Any info i can find on it says Ali done a number on Joe but nothing should be read too much into it as Monzon had just KO'd Frazier 1 hr before
I recall some talk about them doing some exhibitions around 1979. If they'd have come off,I bet they'd have been more ferocious than an exhibition bout normally is.
