Ali - Frazier II what's your scorecard?

4,7,8,12 to Frazier. Thats all I could give him.

 

I'm really glad for this being posted and for some of the opinions I've read. Yes, to me this was another highly tainted, rather dubious win for Ali. Perez let him get away with everything, and the judges of course liked the movement and flurries, even if no heavy damage was done.

Yeah, I too wonder what Ali's legacy would look like if once in awhile a close decision went against him. Cosell always kissed Ali's ass and exaggerated what was happening. Poor Joe never had a chance.

 

You can argue Norton 3, Young, even Norton 2 better than you can argue this one.

"Poor Joe" lost this fight. Thats why he didn't get the decision: He didn't win.

 

All of Joes best work in the fight is one punch at a time. He could have possibly pressed his advantage, but he didn't. He's widely out landed in both the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 10th. The few shots that Frazier lands seem hefty, but they dont have a large enough effect to erase the profound relationship Ali's fists had with Smoke's face the rest of the round.

Takes different strokes, and you see fights your way, and I see em mine. Always appreciate a good talk on boxing.

 

Dito. It was close, could have gone either way. It wasn´t anywhere as good as fotc or the thrilla. Ali was allowed so much holding in there. :-( But he did what he had to do and got the win.

You can also do this with the Spinks vs Holmes fight and see what a lopsided victory holmes actually wins in both fights. It works for just about any fight,you will see a different one without sound for numerous reasons.Just the same if you watched a fight twice or three times you geta better feel of things you didn't see.

 

I wont give out my scorecard simply because its a big shock to me honestly how lopsided this fight actually was looking what landed and what didn't. Frazier EASILY was robbed in this fight,most of alis shots missed or were blocked or picked off,not landing .Frazier the Entire fight hit Ali with power hooks to the head and body and almost made ali look foolish because ali struggled to even land clean jabs,which most of his punches that landed were pillow punches.Frazier worked him over on the ropes in the body and head.Of course I wasn't listening to the fabrication of Cosell,like any smart person would do the same. Now I know why Ali has him on as broadcast and no doubt Dundee has connections with scoring,and this isn't the only questionable ali fight. Lets just say inf this fight was actually judged FAIRLY,Frazier won more than 7 rounds. had this been a modern fight there would have been a brawl in the ring it was obvious who won this if you are ACTUALLY looking where the punches land,most of alis hit air..


Alis best punch came in the7th when Frazier stopped to smile,im wondering what Frazier thought of this outcome? :-(

My hat is off to jaffay for the post. Yup, the dominant Ali of Fight#2 is a myth. He wrestled and poked and got away with it. Joe came to fight. I don't really think of Ali as winning the series with Frazier; I think of it as even.

 

Oh and by the way, the relationship between Ali and Cosell was one of two narcissists publicly sucking each other off.

 

Read the last two replies above...im not worried about if people are WAITING on me or not,this site if anything has showed me one thing,once again....im the most seasoned guy who can call it like it is in here based on know how and logic and without LIES...yea wait for that one to sink in. :good Though already dealing with your character I know where that's going.... down the TOILET!
