Well then you had it close up to the 15th round. You had Joe up by 1 point if you had it 9-6 going into the 15th. I had Ali up 6-3-1 going into the 10th round.

Round 3 I gave to Ali because I felt he edged it; Joe really didn't get going in that one yet. Round 4 is when I really felt that was warmed up and he stole that round from Ali. Ali's late surge in round 5 was not enough in my opinion, Joe won most of that round.

I think what's really funny is how everybody except you has no problem with my score yet nobody concurs with your score. Not even the actual judges scored it as wide as you did. If you have Ali winning then it would have to be a close score. No more than a 2 or 3 point difference.

To be honest with you mate, I personally can't see it as a draw. I'd rather see the right winner with a big margin than a close card getting the result wrong. You can argue that your card is a more realistic portrayal of a close fight but Peter's result is the correct one to me.

I am perfectly fine with someone picking Ali. It's still an injustice though having Ali way up like that. If the fight was close, your scores should reflect that no matter the winner.

Has been a fair while since I watched the fight in its entirity, but I last scored it 115-113 Ali: from memory.

i had it to frazier by a point, 6-5-1 just because i thought that Ali danced to much and Frazier landed the harder blows. Same in the third fight, i had it 7 rounds apiece, but the judges had Ali up by like 3 points!

What did Joe even do in the fight? It seems that people are penalizing Ali for the holding. Futch and Joe should've made their complaints heard in round 2 or 3. The rest of the fight could have shaped differently. Ali is just picking up points in this fight.

How is my scoring an injustice? Is it more of an injustice than 11-4 for FOTC? Be honest...

These seems like the mindset of people who score it for Frazier. Really take no appreciation for ring generalship and punch output what so ever. Ali won the Thrilla on the scores I think by 3-4+ points on each judges scorecards. I do think that fight was closer than the scoring suggests. But it's moot considering it's ending.

OBC, how do you score Thrilla out of curoisity? I thought Ali was most dominant in the second fight. I think the Thrilla was fairly close up until round 14. Do you have that a draw or Joe up too?

    Maybe it's not an injustice.

It IS the widest card I've ever seen.

What I was trying to say is you may have picked the right winner, but the card really isn't accurate. Picking the right winner and having the right score are two different things.

I agree that Futch and Joe should've piped up. The Ref should not excused though, he should have enforced. Maybe not on the level of an 11-4 score for FOTC but not too far behind.

I honestly didn't score the Thrilla in Manilla, from watching the fight my impression was that Ali was comfortably ahead before the stoppage.
