Is Funeka the Paul williams of the LW division minus the chin, he does everything PW does, coming back to his jaw how bad do u think it is, being the big guy that he is i think he could have just as easily struggled to make weight.

He probably does struggle to make the weight a bit, even if he doesn't it still can't be good for his punch resistance.

On the other hand, Nate is under-rated as a puncher. The guy can really bang. I don't think it's too bad.

i dont think he struggled to make it..... he made the limit twice and came into the ring weighing less then campbell ( i think ... if i remember right ) and didnt seem to tire to badly @ any point in the fight (cept when nate kept digging in his body)

There are not many fighters that tall for their weight that have brilliant chins.

Same here. I really wanted him win that fight, felt sorry for him when he was crying in his corner. Nate was being a **** during the fight as well, I might have heard him wrong but didn't he call him a ***** or summit between rounds.

Those two shots were both to the temple though not his jaw.

He weighed more than Campbell,149 to 147.
    He struggles with the weight.

I don't think his Jaw is that bad...it's where he was hit that caused him to loose his balance....he was hit towards the temple and behind the ear two places where you can get your equlibrium scrambled if hit hard enough and Nate has some pop. I just think he is susceptiable to the over had right given his non stop work rate....as you know you are open when you are busy with your own offense...in ways Ali's "D" is his offense. Not taking anything away from what he showed us with his movement, footwork and guard. But yea...I thought the exact same thing that he is a smaller PW.

Funeka doesn't have the same kind of reach advantage Williams has. Funeka practically looked like he had little T-Rex arms.

You'll be hard pressed to find anyone with Pauls physical demensions especially his reach give his height. But for a 135 pound fight Ali has a nice reach advantage over everyone at that weight. He's like a little Paul williams....maybe a little less active, less pop but style wise he's like a spitting image...right down to being lanky, skinny and thin.

Nate Campbell is one of the hardest, most hurtful punchers around that weight class.

He can seriously hurt opponents. Isn't a one punch K.O artist but look how badly he beat (then) undefeated Kid Diamond, (then) undefeated Unified Champ Juan Diaz, and now, feared freak Funeka, who on his last performance looked a destroyer (and still looks it after this one)

Nate is underrated in general. I think some just think the Juan Diaz fight was a fluke, where it's his losses that have been flukey in general.

When he concentrates, when he really wants to win, Nate wins. Even against Casamayor he performed really well, and for me he's in his prime NOW.

I have no doubt Nate can compete with the likes of Torres, Bradley, Holt, Urango, Lamont Peterson, Victor Ortiz etc etc. He's one of the best strategists in the game with power that, whilst not devastating, demands respect, and is as good an in-fighter as he is fighting at distance.

He's also articulate, knows boxing, and knows how to trash talk too! How could you not like this guy?!?!

Underrated...by all means....PRIME, you might just be right. Physically he's past his best but overall given his LATE start in this profession you might be dead on. He's improved and really...and i mean Really looks like a Great All around technical fighter. He's a true vet and he's never been better...OVERALL. He may have lost a half step in speed and reflexes but he makes up for it with his craftiness, savvy and generalship in the ring.

Although Nate seems to have a really good camp now, put him in with Nzaim Richardson and I think he'd do even better :good the best trainer for ageing Warriors who, with just a bit of added craftiness, prosper years past their sell-by date.

Although, as I say, Nate seems to be doing fine now, no need for a change.
