Agree. Now, did you watch the first Floyd/Shane 24/7? Did you see the two guys from the testing center had to follow Floyd 5 hours before he was able to urinate? How much do you think that cost? When you have millions dollars fights coming up you might be able to do that. But for most fights, fighters, and promoters, this is just too expensive to do.

I agree with you, but isn't it reasonable to do when a fight is a multi-million dollar affair?

I'm sure someone has already mentioned this but it is also a masking agent for other PEDs

So anything that speeds up the metabolism is a banned substance? :huh

Coffee is a diuretic...can you drink coffee within a week of a professional boxing match?

How about substances that make your pee stink? Can you eat asparagus before a fight?

Selective application of rules is not reasonable.

Whilst i think the way people overrate the effects of PED's and the role they play in the outcome of a fight is silly, Funeka certainly deserves a reaming for using a banned diuretic.

They dilute the traces in urine, and if he is happy with using one banned substance, he probably isn't going to morally object to using steroids. Innocent until proven guilty (on the steroids issue), but its a pretty significant indicator.
