Guzman showed that Funeka could be hit but he completely lacked the power to really hurt im. How would Funeka respond to being hit by perhaps the P4P hardest puncher in the game today? I have it Valero by brutal KO demolition.
IM leaning towards a Valero knockout,Funekas chin isnt all that and Valero is Pfp the best puncher in boxing in my opinion. If Funeka could get past the 5th though,he has a good shot at whipping Valero too,but Even if he started punishing Valero i just think that valero would get to him eventually.
Edwin Valero still has alot to prove. Michael Moorer was 25 wins, 0 losses, 25 KO's at one time too, and we know how that turned out. Start fighting the upper echelon fighters, instead of the bottom of the barrel has-beens, and maybe he'll start getting some respect (whether he wins or loses).
The commie Midget will never fight someone like Funeka. He declined a fight with Presscott no way he fights a guy as dangerous as Funeka.
Funeka is a nightmare to fight. Tall, aggressive, powerful, quick hands, good jab, throws combinations. But I really think his chin is a worry, I mean Guzman was hurting him early on and he has zero-power at this weight. Valero could probably spark him with one punch.
Funeka is getting underrated here, he gave Campbell a tough tough fight and many people thought he won that fight. He clearly outclassed Guzman last night so he has proven ability against top opposition. Valero hasn't proved anything yet so right now I give him a punchers chance.
Not under-rated at all. Like I said, his combination of hand-speed, power, size and aggression makes him an absolute nightmare for pretty much anyone at 135, and he got robbed last night. But his punch resistance is a real worry, and he's hittable. If Valero hits him with a half decent punch, then he's going to be in major trouble. I'd love for this fight to happen though and for Funeka to win, you've gotta feel sorry for him after last night's result & the Campbell fight aswell.
I agree with you, something has to be done about that, Funeka should be the IBF champion right now and I can only imagine the frustration he is going through right now after all the hard work. Funeka is hittable and that's why I give Valero a punchers chance, but if Funeka sticks with that double jab he will beat Valero.
Don't know, Funeka did look really sloppy and numerous occasions. Valero can be capable on taking these opportunities to land a good shot.
