he's saying funeka can make 130 he weighed in at 133 for that fight

but yeah i think nate didnt do enough for the win at best a draw but either way funeka should not hav lost

Nate Campbell won that fight straight up ... the 2 knockdowns 20-16 thats 4 points that Funeka would have to make up.

Martinez-Cintron was a robbery. This was a close fight. It doesn't bother me that Nate won. What bothers me more is that even if Ali wouldn't have been knocked down the second time, he still would have lost the fight. That is pretty hard to believe.

 

The fight of Funeka vs. Campbell was very entertaining. This said, I have to agree with some of the other posters. It wasn't a robbery. The fight was very close and could have gone either way. Campbell easily won rounds 1 to 3 and his knock down in round 2 meant that Funeka had to win 7 of the remaining 9 rounds. Though Funeka out boxed Campbell from rounds 4 to 10, Campbell did win rounds 11 and 12 as well as scored the decisive knock down in round 11. Campbell won the fight. However, it could have also been a draw, but I don't think a win for Funeka was right.

I did feel Funeka's pain after the fight. The guy is very impressive. He demonstrated that he could adjust his game plan during a fight. For example, while he is used to chasing his opponents and wearing them down, Funeka began fighting an effective defensive fight as Campbell showed he was the aggressor early in the fight. Funeka, in large part, ducked and moved side to side as well as jabbed and countered effectively. He was accurate and very active while Campbell was tiring.

I hope Funeka gets another opportunity at the 135lb division. He deserves it. He reminds me of Paul Williams. I hope he won a lot of fans yesterday.

Good fight that Campbell deserved the win. In no way was this a robbery. There were a few close rounds so even a close Funeka win would've been ok but I had it 6 rounds each with the knockdowns giving Campbell the win. As for whats next? I don't see too many fighters knocking on Funeka's door for a fight. High risk and very low reward fight there. Campbell will fit in nicely at jr welter with Holt, Bradley, Torres, Mallignaggi, etc. But he didn't look his sharpest last night and seemed to really tire as the fight went on. How much is the weight and how much could be with age? It will be interesting to see how things play out with Campbell.

 

That's because you're 6'4", not 6'1", there's a lot of difference.

It is still insanely huge however. Guy used to be a super-feather aswell.

 

I don't see any way you could score that fight for Funeka. I can see a draw, but not a victory. Here's how it goes folks - hitting someone's gloves and elbows doesn't matter. It's just ineffective aggression. In at least half the rounds, Campbell landed the most effective punches, and often times even landed more punches, simply because he was blocking 80% of what Funeka was throwing.

Campbell was the Champ.
He knocks the other guy down in 2 and 11, hurting him pretty good.
He was the Boss at the end.
Anybody who thinks the other guy won must really --- Blow.

 

It was no roobery there(unlike earlier the night) but I also had Campbell barely winning,114-113 but Ireally liked and wished Funeka would get,he deserved it.He should get another HBO fight,or tv fight.

Each round seemed pretty easy to score for me.

I had Campbell clearly winning 5 rounds and Funeka winning 6 rounds clearly with one round being even.

Even if you gave that even round to Funeka the fight is a draw at best for him, I dont see how one can score it for Funeka.
