Ali Grandfather was White Irish and his Fathers Father came from Madagascar

    Madagascar was more of an Indian city and Ali's fathers father was from and his mothers Dad was White Irish....I always considered Ali African American but it seems that at least half of him was other

    Joe Louis also has some American Indian in him and some white blood as well

    Jack Dempsey has some American Indian in him and some German/Irish blood

    Do you know any others that are perceived to be one nationality or race but have some other mix in them?

    Not exactly....but Eder Jofre´s father was actually argentinian.....

    Yeah, his ancestry is french...Jofre is a french last name.

    wasn't Nicolino Loche actually full Italian heritage but born in Argentina, while Nino Larocca was actually obviously African but fought with an Italian name and Nationality

    also Firpo was supposed to be of Italian heritage as well Bonavena had some Italian roots

    Just messing. Any idea why Brazil doesn't produce more world class boxers? It's like Mexico with football, you would think they would be amazing but they aren't

    Boxing is not popular as a sport, so because of that we simply don´t have enough gyms and stuff.....

    Simple as that then. I know MMA is massive in Brazil but that just makes it even stranger. It's a real shame boxing isn't bigger because the Popo's fans were great and there could be a great rivalry between you and Argentina for South American dominance.
