Both Ali and Mayweather went to the Olympics. Both were very well regarded going to their respective Olympics and both were the best in their divisions. One left with a gold and one with a bronze.

Interesting articles on each boxer's Olympic moment in 'Tales of Olympic Glory'

Stick Roy jones in there as well, there have been that many Olympic robberies it kind of puts me off. I don't get excited for it to much it's clear to see who wins in most cases but that doesn't always mean they progress to the next round.

Hopefully the Brits get some dodgy decisions if necessary in London!

The person I felt most sorry for was the guy that Jones beat.

He was probably a bigger victim than Roy, in all honesty.

The Jones robbery was also partly a product of the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles where a lot of teams felt like it was almost impossible to beat a USA fighter. A few teams complained, but the South Koreans in particular were incensed, so they saw the 88 Olympics as a chance for some payback big time stylee.

Did you not see his face though, he made it clear he hadnt won. If he refused to collect the medal he would probably have been executed!

He was from S. Korea, he wouldn't have been executed, he should've refused the medal, me personally if I won like that I wouldn't except it, I'd be on the 1st flight home
