judges gave it 8-7 8-6-1 and 8-7 all for Ali. But what i would like to know is exactly what rounds they gave for each of the fighters.Can anyone help.
Not sure if I have exact rounds but I know that Lederman had it 6-2 after 8 and the other two both scored 5-3. All to Norton. Harold only gave Kenny one of the last seven rounds. He and Smith also had Norton ahead after 13. Giving Ali the last two rounds for him to win it. Mercante had the 14th even I think- which was a decent round for Norton if memory serves me well but again a late rally by the judges meant the champ retained his crown.
