Both men suffer there first loss in classic fights, both been dropped and losing unanimous decisions. Who comes out on top in this? The ali two fights in to a comeback or holy field losing his first big challenge as a heavy?
Oh to right Wass. Holys going to be fighting the fight of his life here. Ali perhaps still not at his very best. Bowe was a tall order for holy that night but he might, just might take a close decision over ali. U can never write the real deal off
I just can't see how this fight would turn out, whoever dictates the pace wins the bout I feel. No fighter has any real stand out qualities here.
Holy field Going to test ali like never before as ali will to him. He won't be as intense as Joe but a prime holy is still going to be banging away and not letting up. It would definitely be a classic either way mate
Oh, great. Another Tyson thread. I've always thought Evander would be a surprisingly tough matchup for Ali. Holy could do everything well and he had no obvious holes to exploit. If Ali beats him, he does it the hard way and comes out lumped up as well.
Ali would fight Holyfield just the same as he did Frazier in FOTC, but has no left hook to worry about.
Holyfield out did his opponents in speed, chin, toughness, combo punching, and stamina. Ali is a little bit better in each of those categories. I choose him for this reason.
I did my best Wass to slide tyson in there but sorry to disappoint lol I'm sure I'll get him in to satisfy my tyson fix!!
While holy wasn't half as intense as Joe he would still have been putting pressure on ali. And was this ali at his true form or his very best,?. Holy I think would have been forcing him to fight at quite a pace so it would have been interesting to see how he adapted to that.
Holyfield similar height and weight to Ken Norton and both had Conan the Barbarian builds. Norton gave Ali fits and there whole trilogy was close. If Norton could outhustle and outwork Ali then so called Holyfield. Evander by points.
I see a lot of Norton when I look at holy jup for some reason. Perhaps holy had the better chin against the big bangers but u only have to look at Norton against Ali and Holmes to see the man had a ton of heart
