Ali of the Frazier fight vs 1919 Jack Dempsey

Ali came over here while he was in exile and was overwhelmed by the support.
To his credit he never forgot.

 

I'd say this fight for 3 rounds will be a thriller, but once Ali proves he isn't going anywhere he'll begin to outbox Dempsey and take a UD. Jack's only shot is to KO Ali early to mid rounds and I just cannot see that happening. Not impossible just implausible at best.

 

The styles say otherwise.

Disagree with this. Dempsey was very very quick. Quicker than Frazier.

I do think Ali wins a decision here. Dempsey would do very well for 4-5 rounds but would become frustrated. Unlike Frazier who got stronger later in the fight, Dempsey was dynamic early on, and if you could survive the early onslaught, you can do well later. a

Ali would wear him down and win a UD. I don't think its as one sided as you are making it out to be. Dempsey has a great left hook which was Ali's only weakness. Dempsey would also be the quickest fighter Ali faced in the 70s.

Ali UD. Maybe even a stoppage if he goes for it.
