Sure this has been posted before, but... This content is protected Some notable observations: 1) Marciano was better than Frazier 2) Ali said that he could have beaten the Rock, but it might have gone the other way 3) His arms were sore just from their "play" fight I don't read too much into this. Ali being very gracious here. This was an older, kinder Ali. Marciano-Frazier would be to me the best possible action fight of all time precisely because both were so tenacious, and they were obviously very close in ability and accomplishment. All the same, this is a wonderful clip of a younger champ giving respect to his predecessor.
What I would read into it, is that Ali probably saw Marciano, as somebody who would pose him with certain stylistic problems. I agree, but I would not attempt to read any more into it than that.
