In the post fight interview he admitted that a prime Holmes would have whupped him (in his own words).

Yes they may of hit harder than Tyson but both Liston and Foreman was slow as **** compared to Ali. At least Tyson would have the foot and hand speed to compare with Ali.

Plus if Frazier can keep Ali contained then why could Tyson not?

Another thing if Ali ever did the rope a dope with Tyson then could you honestly see him doing too Mike what he did to Foreman? Whilst Foreman probably hit harder with one punch Tyson would be hitting in threes and fours.

Im not sayin Tyson would win but he has a 50/50 chance.

Mike Tyson was knocking down faded fighters, whereas Ali was beating all-time greats mostly at their peak.

Either way, it wasn't a prime Ali facing those guys either. This fight is too close for me to call. Stylistically I edge it to Tyson, psychologically I give it to Ali.

 

Ali was no fool. If he said otherwise on that show he feared Tyson may have bit his ear off, and in Ali's state he would not have been able to defend himself.
