Leonardo "Leleco" Guimarães is 13-7-1-1 in pro MMA.

Can't find a record for Viktor Lemkov.

Not sure what ruleset this under, nor how many rounds scheduled.

Let's go I guess.

 

Wtf is with the neon-yellow bunny Lego headed ring card girls?!

 

Okay, they are throwing kicks (and the round clock is counting down from 5 minutes), so this one is just MMA in a boxing ring.

 

Guimarães decked! Big overhand right over the lazy southpaw jab. Leg kicks doing a number on him, too... and his gas tank already looks depleted just from circling with Lemkov and throwing a few shots here and there. Soft in the middle, too. Not sure he trained all that much for this.

OH and there's a nasty cut high on the right side of his scalp after Lemkov scores a takedown, not sure if he took a knee or a butt or what.

Guimarães off to as horrible a start as you could ask, basically.

Yep, he did, in 2016.

 

Lemkov just stalking from a slight distance and pot shotting with jabs, long rights, and harpooning solo body shots. Guimarães winded badly, even with barely anything happening. He finally tries a high spin kick about halfway into the round, and nearly twirls himself 180° away from his opponent while missing badly. His face is gooey with sweat and vascular as hell, veins sticking out as he wheezes and holds onto Lemkov in a clinch against the ropes for the last half-minute until the horn.

Another cut on Guimarães now, other side of the head, just outside the corner of his left eye, and dripping in such a way that it hasn't yet affected his vision but the more it pools up, it could.

Third cut on the side of his nose as well. Lemkov just dicing him up.

FEDOR EMELIANENKO SIGHTING! Watching, ringside.

30-25 Lemkov, really pitiful effort from the Brazilian tbh. Going long periods of time not doing anything offensively, then just telegraphing a big right hook off the lead hip and getting countered HARD so that his cornrows stand on end. Gets stuck in a front headlock choke to finish up in the last thirty seconds.

How did he not get a 10-8 in R1? Do they not do that for knockdowns from a punch in MMA? Though so.

 

Hard to say who is getting chubbier between Lebedev and Emelianenko.

...why do I perversely kind of wish they were squaring up on this card?

 

...even Zagorsky and The Emperor look vaguely confused and uncomfortable.
