Liston was the reigning champion of the world and one of the most skilled fighters in history.

Frazier had some of the best head movement ever. A notch below Tyson but other than that no HW can match his head movement.

Foreman got knocked out by Ali and then lost on points to Young. Ali beats Foreman 10/10.

And it's baffling to me how anyone could think that a glorified club fighter (which Jennings is, let's not kid ourselves) can be compared to an Olympic gold medalist and one of the most successful champions of all time. Jennings might as well be that guy from the gym you know, when being spoken of in the same sentence as Ali.

Let's put this match-up in a proper context. Jennings is a guy who started boxing after a failed attempt at an NBA career, he took up the sport late in his life, had virtually no amateur experience before turning pro and lost to the only 2 live bodies he fought. Ali took up boxing as a kid, won Olympic gold and had a championship career spanning two decades in which he defeated more ranked contenders than any other heavyweight in history, BY FAR.

Even if we assume that all sports unequivocally evolve, an assertion for which there is no basis, it is absolutely ridiculous to assume that it's going to make up for the tremendous difference in level between these two. One is a natural fighter who groomed his skill on the highest level possible, both as an amateur and pro. The other guy is a basketball player who went into boxing to make a quick buck and didn't do ****.

Please don't try to take this discussion any further. It's insane.

Ali was just the much more highly skilled and gifted hwt. He was a three time hwt champion when being a multiple champion meant something. Prime Ali would just be too quick for any hwt today to beat. There is a reason Ali is pretty much universally rated 1 or 2 greatest hwt champion and he is always rated top ten p4p.

Its funny I remember a Wlad K v Ali thread where most were giving Wlad no chance yet in this thread many of you a giving Jennings a chance... Yet a "shot" Wlad won a pretty wide decision against Jennings not that long ago..

Personally I think Jennings is just a gate keeper who shouldn't be mentioned in the same thread as Ali...

A fat Molina, probably a lightheavyweight at best if he lost some weight gave Parker, a big current heavyweight a hard time.
The same Parker will beat Jennings and beat almost all or at least has a chance against all top current heavyweight.
Size is not everything, for god sake, an old Adamek was having a good run before run into a giant in Vitali.
Jenning is not equal ken Norton. ken Norton gave both ali and holmes all they could handle. Ali and Holmes are top 3 heavyweight of all time.
Spinks will prolly knock Jennings out of the ring.

You seem to be missing the point here so let's take it slowly and step by step:
The thread started wanted to know if it was considered strange or 'insane' to compare Norton and Jennings in terms of their fantasy match-up capability against Ali. I gave my opinion, you disagree, cool. Thank you for your seasoned, in-depth break-down of Ken Norton. I found it valuable and enlightening.
Your question was NOT denied and I'm unlike Wladimir Klitschko in that respect so, no, I don't think I am him. You were denied the right to answer your own question on my behalf.
Perhaps re-reading your own comments might cement their meaning in your head and give you the ability to conduct a conversation that makes sense.

I think Ali is big time overrated. It was pretty much every fight he appeared to struggle greatly or go life or death with his opponent. He was never as dominant as Tyson, Klitschko's, Lewis, Joshua etc. Jennings would just steal a win.

    Pure rubbish

Liston had a great jab but I fail to see any skills beyond that so that statement was a fail and you in no way refuted his old age or the fact that both fights could have been fixed

Oh so Frazier had great head movement

Ok let's look at some examples

I guess one example is when he couldn't dodge Ali's jab and another example is when he actually moved his head into foreman's punches yep great head movement if your aim is to lose

Foreman used up all his gas in the rumble in the jungle going for the knockout when he should have paced himself and would have easily beat Ali so another epic fail from you also you did not refute that Ali ducked the foreman rematch

Now go educate yourself not only about boxing but also about THE MEANING OF WORDS before you post here again because talking to someone like you who is so stupid is very tedious for me

Ali in his prime either as Cassius Clay or as Muhammad was just too good to be bothered by anything Jennings could do. I don't think there's very many Modern Heavyweights I'd pick to beat a prime Ali h2h, but I know for sure, Jennings isn't one of them.

If you can't see the skill set of Liston it says more about you than anything else.

He did dodge the jab of Ali in their first fight, up until the destruction by Foreman he had the best head movement in the division.

Foreman didn't easily beat Young but Ali would have been easy despite Ali already knocking him out?

Please watch fights involving these men before you comment further. Thanks.

Go on school me on liston's extensive skill set then Mr expert

Ali jabbed frazier's head off in every fight they had and Frazier spent longer in the hospital then Ali did after FOTC so it's clear you have bad eyesight or you don't know boxing

I don't know why you keep bringing up young here it's not relevant to Ali vs foreman and Ali's ducking of a rematch

I've watched every fight every single one of them had several times son

Keep posting it's fun making you look stupid
