The thread-starter obviously is new to boxing (Jermain Taylor easily belonged on the list instead of Mack), but he does have a point in asking the initial question. Ali fought in an era loaded with fat, out-of-shape plodders. So when Frazier was in shape, Ali got schooled in the art of brawling. Then after Foreman destroyed a fat version of Frazier, Ali went after Joe and eaked out a close points win. Carl Froch has fought only fit opponents in their prime. I voted for Froch. The HW division is the easiest by far, so I would pick almost any great fighter from a lighter division over any great HW.
