Ali. Johnson's style of leaning away from punches with his hands held low, gets him into trouble against someone with Ali's hand-speed. Jack had an excellent defence but I think he gets picked off by Ali quite comfortably.
Interesting match-up and I think it would be very close. Johnson is big, but also very good defensively. A young Ali had great speed however, so it is hard to say. Johnson was a very frustrating opponent by the looks of the old footage. I am at odds with this one to be honest. Both Ali and Johnson are two of my favorite heavyweights of all time.
same here i never saw anybody discuss this match-up but it would defiantly would have been very exiting :good i wonder what nickname ali would have gave Johnson
I like Johnson in this, if Frazier took Ali to near death, Johnson finishes the job, Johnson was a sensational fighter.
