It's the old classic match up.. But with a twist. Ali and Joe in there prime taken back to the ring where johnson met willard. Same ring, same gloves. 45 round under the Havana sun. Who wins. Joe from his ko 1 of schmeling and ali from the Williams fight?

Ali "I'm gonna dance at The Copacabana after I whup Joe Louis in Havana" !

Prime Ali beats prime Louis after a terrific fight as befits their status as the consensually recognised best two heavies of all time. It may well go the distance after both men being on the canvas at some point.

Ali by around 9-6 in rounds.

The change of venue favours Louis, due to his more economical style.

Yep definitely not going to be easy for ali to dance that long. Joe s more shuffling, patient style will be best option here.

Its funny but my generation grew up with 15 rounds as the norm. The last few generations have known nothing but 12. It's hard to imagine any fighter going 45 but obviously back them it wouldn't have been seen as really excessive. So it is difficult to imagine ali of the 15 rounder going another 3 0!. But of course they will have trained for longer fights and adjusted to them. Probably a lot of the rounds there was very little activity. U got the ko if u could but u had to pace yourself over the long term. 45 rounds though wow

Ali's style is too high output for a 45 round bout. Pick here is Louis sometime between 15-20th round.
