Foxy, I'm sorry to hear of your contempt for Americans. Where in America have you travelled? We're a big country. Heck, my Texas is as big as a lot of countries. West Texans have different mannerisms and worldviews from East Texans and South Texas has a whole different way of life from North Texas. Certainly Texas has a different way of thinking from Massachusetts or California. I just hope you're not buying into a stereotype. Where you from, anyhow?:hi:

I've been to Florida. Nice place to visit, but I wouldn't wish to live there. I don't cotton much to Vegas, though. Been to your neck of the world, least-whiles London. How can you stand the weather? Come to Texas if you want to see something. Just don't come in the summertime. It's about to heat up around here! :fire

Believe it or not, most of it on my part is really fish shooting in barrel's, as I know I will get a rise out of it. I have been to Vegas ( saw Oscar / JCC there in 96 ) and spent every day in Johnny Tocco's whilst the guys I was with played the slots. Also LA in the same trip. In fairness the American people there treated us very very well, I just never felt the need to go back.

If I'm honest I do get pretty pee'd off with Americans who mouth off about things they obviously know nothing about. i:e, the rest of the world, as the vast majority of them have never traveled anywhere outside of the U.S.

This has increased on my part since the 2 futile gulf wars, plus Afghanistan, which only prove that the U.S. has no clue whatsoever about the area, and the feuds that have gone on between the tribes / religious factions for thousands of years, and will continue to do so for the rest of time.:good

I know what you're saying. I've lived in the Middle East and South America and have been blessed to travel extensively around the world and come back home safely. There is a wealth of education to be gained by traveling. We Americans see ourselves as problem solvers, and I like to think we generally do good things for people around the world. Our government does not always represent our best values but please don't hold that against us. What we get wrong we try to fix. As for me, I love boxing, though I won't claim to be the expert many of you are. If I get a little bombastic, just blame me and Congress. I won't hold it against you! :hat

I live in the hottest part of the Uk, 22 miles from London, so far our summer has been a bit stop and start ,but the temperature was about 73 Fahrenheit yesterday.

One of my kids spent 2 weeks in Vegas for her honeymoon ,she said it was 12 days too long. I would not go there if a big fight was held at MSG NY instead.
Being a Hemingway fan, I would like to see Idaho and Montana, though the Fargo TV series makes it look pretty bleak.
Similar to the film Nebraska which ,being that I keep running dogs also interests me.Coyotes?

I believe Mendoza lives inFlorida ,it was an in joke .
    Nice talking to you.

We all get bombastic Tex, the trick is not to worry about it. I love that saying " Nothing matters much, and most things don't matter at all " and that is how I live life.:good

I've been lucky to travel all over the world. Love London and all of Western Europe. Dispise Mexico, Central America and SA with its overt poverty. Japan is wonderful. India just plain horrible. Been to every state in the U.S.and each has pluses and minuses. I live NJ and I find it the best. It's home for me and where I live in the center of the state I can be in Times Square NY in 45 minutes and at the truly beautiful Jersey shore in half an hour. For me nothing tops this convenience.

I have a dozen friends who go to Goa immediately after Xmas every year and stay there until May. Most have been extensive travelers during their lives, yet claim Goa is the business. I have never been, and as I'm afraid I'm not one for spicy food, I don't see myself ever going.

It sounds like we have more than our love of boxing in common! Small world after all!

I still take Marciano here. Too active nonstop, too powerful, should be able to cut off a small ring and too much pressure. Crouch and awkward style should help against Ali's jab enough to close in.

MMA gloves increase the possibility of Marciano getting cut, and Ali was a master of inflicting cuts, so that could swing both ways
