I dont see why people go and say Marciano was slow ete. Marciano was no turtle or snail. The guy did have underated speed. But some people make it sound like Marciano was super slow.

He was 5'11, and he wasn't naturaly 185, if he didn't train as hard as he did, he would weigh more around 200-205.

The Rock was not slow. Hell Rocky was faster than Lewis imo.

Every elite boxer trains hard to lose extra weight, that's not an excuse for a lack of speed. Hey, if he cut weight than he should be even faster, right, then if he was 205, he would be like slow motion!

If Rocky was slow regardless of his height and weight, how in the world was able to clip guys like: Ezzard Charles, JJ Walcott, and Archie Moore. Hell, Moore was still a champion in a lighter division several years after Marciano dumped him. How could a guy like Moore, who was too slow to handle the slow Marciano, be fast enough to be a champion @ a lighter division. Moore must have really worked on his speed after Marciano, or maybe all the guys he fought were even slower than Moore, who was slower than Marciano. Everyone in that era must have been slow, real slow.

No, everyone in that era was not "slow, real slow", but old, real old! Marciano pressure wore the old geezers down so that him being slow didn't matter after the eighth round.:good

    Charles #I went 15 rounds.

How can you wear down old geezers if your so slow, unless they are slow too? They should have no problem comfortably outmanuevering a guy who's slow of foot and hand like Rocky, epecially when a guy like Moore is still a champion many years after being KO'd? My opinion is that Marciano was quite a bit faster than people give him credit for, and his punches came @ any time, from all angles and with power.

The films also show that Marciano was not slow either. (Nor was his foes in most cases)
