Ali was not the greatest Boxer ever. Mayweather was.

 Really?? Shane had exactly ONE good win since beating Oscar a decade earlier. NOt the PED versaion of Shane in the rematch, but Shane from the first Oscar fight.

This is either some trolling stufff, or you only got in to boxing when Floyd was active.

Ali had talent. Not skills. Mayweather had both.

If a high school team goes the season winning every game they play does that make them in contention to be the best team in the world.

Being undefeated is a metric fraught with pitfalls when you compare era's far apart

In the era before radio, live gate was the only means of making money, then came radio, & after that TV, then PPV, & now streaming

The revenue a boxer could generate was thus limited by technology available which means they had to fight a lot more frequently in 1920's & 1930's when overall poverty was also a lot higher. If you have 200 fights you aren't going undefeated, doesn't matter how high your skill level

So Floyd being 50-0 (1 fight basically a joke against McGregor) doesn't tell me much about his ATG if let's say Archie Moore is 170-30

Sorry my friend but Mayweather isn't fit to carry Ali's jockstrap. Thanks to Larry Holmes for that saying
1,Floyd should have lost to Maidana in fight 1 Kenny Bayless won the rematch for him.
2, Floyd should have lost to Castillo in fight 1
3 Floyd should have been DQ'd for cowardly cold cocking a defenceless Ortiz
4 Floyd should have been DQ'd when Roger entered the ring & attacked Zab Judah
5 Floyd/Pac should have been made a N/C following the IV gate debacle
Add all his other dubious actions & clouds of suspicion over the years & it becomes obvious to me. He was far from the TBE he claimed ,in fact Manny Pacquaio eclipsed him for fighter of their era in my book
Just my own opinion for what its worth

Edwin Valero had 27 fighters enter the ring to beat him. None ever the saw the final bell. No better perfect record exists.

Nope. Floyd won that fight vs Maidana. And I was going for Maidana. But he lost. 7 rounds to 5.
I haven't seen the Castillo fight. I heard he lost by many, some disagree. You have a point here I'll have to watch it one day.
No, he souldn't have been D.Q'd by that thug Ortiz. Ortiz should have been for a head butt. He wasn't. Neither was Floyd who hit him fair and sqaure. Protect yourself at all times. You can't head butt someone then complain after you want to hug AFTER you did it. He got what he deserved.
Yes, He should have been D.Q'd when Roger entered the ring. I admit that. But he wasn't. It's not his fault in any case. But you are right.
    Floyd-Pac No Contest? NO WAY!!!!
Manny Pacquaio lost too many fights and could have lost a couple more. He was knocked the **** out 3 times too. Cold by JMM. Floyd beat him fair and square. Also Ali got one decision his way that he shouldn't have didn't he?

Money May is a true champion who had a rough upbringing and had everything against him. All the hate in the world. From Everyone.

He should be called TTBE - Truly The Best Ever

TBE sounds better actually. No need for Truly because The Best Ever speaks for itself.

It's not entirely fair to compare fighters from different era's in different weight classes, true Mayweather fought more world champions but that's also because we have a stupid amount of ABC organisations flaunting their belts, also Ali campaigned at Heavyweight whereas Floyd could move in between a bunch of different weights each with up to four belt holders.

When judging greatness it really comes down to who they beat and I would say Ali has the better resume with win's over more prime ATG fighters than Mayweather does, no one can accuse Muhammad of ducking or cherry picking opponents but can the same be said for Floyd he didn't fight a prime Manny, boiled Canelo to 152, avoided Margarito and Williams off the top of my head so can a fighter with such a resume be held to be greater than someone who fought all manner of fighters all in their primes we are talking about absolute killers like Liston, Foreman, Frazier, Norton, Holmes and even tough second tier boxers like Shavers, Lyle, Spinks and Patterson

Sorry my friend we must agree to disagree on several points you make
Manny lost fights early in his career because he was a teenager fighting seasoned pro's plus the Horn debacle. He fought fair & square Floyd has too many dark clouds hanging over his head. Can you explain to me how he got away with IV gate?? Illegal saline treatment in his own home 24 hours before meeting Pac ?? No one else can Ive found.
As for fans dislike of Floyd ? He has only himself to blame for that. He reveled in being labeled The Bad Boy of Boxing. Abused his babies Momma & made him watch. Sorry man I could never respect anyone who has done what he has For me personally, & I believe the majority of fans, Floyd :pipiManny & it isn't even close
I'm glad we can disagree yet still remain friends on this. Have a great day
