How did Ali refusing induction into the army effect the heavyweight landscape. Without the 3 year absence, could Frazier or Norton have really beaten a peak Muhammed Ali? How did the 3 year break effect Ali? How would Ali's legacy have differed had he not been inprisoned? :think
Ali appealed the ruling and was free during the pendency of the appeal. At the time he was stripped of his belt, I don't personally believe any heavyweight in history could have beat him. He moved like a welterweight.
he used to attend universities ..................use to do public speaking and also use to bang a hell alot bitches in those 3 years
I know that this is the only way that you have "relationships" with women but Ali had no need for hookers. He had his choice of movie actresses and models at the time.
you dont know **** about boxing arum and ali along with others after the thrilla and manila had 3 day orgy with hookers and ali was known to use hookers:hi:
Dummy, we are taking about the time frame in which Ali was stripped of his belt, not ten years later. I know it is hard for you to think of anything but Pac and Mayweather, so I will cut you some slack.
Its clear that that the 3 year absence completely changed Ali the fighter, adapting from an extremely athletic fighter with incredible foot and hand speed to a more flat footed, easier to hit fighter who was outstanding when faced with adversity. Those lost 3 years seemed to take a real toll on Ali's athletic capabilities. If Ali had continued fighting those 3 years how do you envisage history changing?
Frazier probably wouldn't have become the champ as he would have probably fought Ali during that time and I can't see him beating Ali at his best. The rest, who knows?
Certainly the likes of Ellis and Terell wouldn't have got near the title..even the " version "of it they held... Also as said above peak Ali would've handily out pointed Frazier, and probably only fought him that one time etc etc...
It helped Ali in terms of legacy as it allowed foreman and Frazier to emerge as great fighters. Had Ali beaten them 3 years prior to when he did then they may not have had time to establish how good they were with the public.
He never did prison time, although he did do a short time in county jail for driving with a suspended license. Something like that. Frazier always would have given Ali a tough fight. As far as beating him in the late 60s, that's a pretty tall order. Ali's legs and foot movement were never the same after the 3 years off. That could have just been the natural aging process. Let's say he stays active from 1967-70. He could just naturally slow down a bit from all the fights, training camps, wear-and-tear for 3 extra years of prize fighting. Most likely, Ali eventually would have lost. Maybe to Ken Norton, or someone else. He showed a tendency to cut corners in training in the 70s. If he had stayed active and beaten Frazier around 1968-69, he might not get the full credit he would deserve. Frazier might have gotten underrated as a result and viewed as a very good contender instead of a great HW.
