    Side note: After the fight, Ali claimed the blow was Jack Johnson’s secret anchor punch that actor Stepin Fetchit had taught him. “It’s a chop, so fast you can’t see it,” he said. “It’s karate. It’s got a twist to it. Just one does the job.” Of course, if it was such a devastating punch, a punch that could drop Liston, you have to wonder why Ali never used it again....

    Anyone see the recent Liston documentary? They had a guy from the NOI who was in Ali’s entourage and he said “I taught Ali the punch he used to knock out Liston” :roto2lol::loel:

    Yeah, the difference in speed was big in the first fight, but here it was just silly. Add a more confident Ali to that...

    The right that put Liston down was the the third or fourth lead right in just the two first minutes. If he had gotten up they would just have kept coming.
