Maybe he just feels that there is a chance that Ali is a member here on ESB & he can hurt his feelings when Ali reads it :nut

Either way, best to stay on topic.

Its almost impossible to say Ali`s greatest performance, you could maybe break it into categories......

Most dazzling (where the opponent was just blown away & Ali looked flawless) - Williams.
The impossible (where he wasnt expected to win at all) - Liston.
Most strategic (Where a brilliant strategy & tactics paid off) - Foreman.
Most gutsiest (Where Ali was pushed to the limit & reached deep to show his greatness) - Frazier III.
Most complete (Where Ali showed a wide variety of skills, all his attributes at his best) - Terrell.

I call him Cassius Clay when refering to any fight he had prior to the second Liston fight. If I refer to him as Ali I go back and change it if I notice before I post.
I try to present the facts accurately by getting the details right. This is a serious boxing forum after all.

I would like to strike a blow for the Quarry rematch as well. His athleticism of course wasn't quite the same it had been in the 60's, but he never displayed better boxing skills than he did that night. He dominated Quarry both on the outside and on midrange, keeping him at bay not only with the jab but also with sharp uppercuts and hooks. He controlled the distance and the tempo of the fight beautifully. Perhaps my favourite Ali fight to watch.
